Yoga is a vast collection of spiritual techniques and practices aimed at integrating mind, body and spirit to achieve a state of enlightenment or oneness with the universe. What is normally thought of as “yoga” in the West is really Hatha Yoga, one of the many paths of yoga. The different paths of yoga emphasize different approaches and techniques but ultimately lead to the same goal of unification and enlightenment. Though yoga’s ultimate aim is lofty, its essence is practical and scientific as it emphasizes direct experience and observable results. It is not a religion, but a practice of personal inquiry and exploration. As the cultural and religious diversity of practitioners attest, yogic philosophy speaks to universal truths that can be incorporated within any belief system. This class is designed for beginner to intermediate level students.

About Your Teacher:
RYT 200 - Pilates
Pilates has been a part of my life for over 25 years, this form, this method of mind-body integration has helped me grow, heal, and become empowered when life handed me a brain tumor. My recovery was fast and I became stronger mentally and physically. Pilates and yoga can produce miracles. I completed my Pilates Mat certification in 2000 in New York with Kelly Kane Core Integration. So very grateful for her time and wisdom. I began teaching in NJ in clubs and corporate fitness centers also offering personal training sessions. Along my way I have taught in MA NJ CA MD and Tampa Bay FL. I completed a power yoga certification with Adrienne Reed (PBS teacher) in 2013. Very grateful for all her time and knowledge. In my classes, I love to combine dynamic creative sequencing, props, playfulness, and some hard work. Stretches and breathwork are included throughout the session to leave you feeling nourished, balanced, and relaxed, with energy left for your day.
In ten sessions you will feel the difference. In twenty you will see the difference. In thirty you will have a whole new body.
