Pasco County Florida issued the following announcement on September 16.

Wesley Chapel District Park Recreation Center Opens October 2
~~17,800-square-foot recreation center is first built in Pasco County in 30 years~~
Celebrate with us in grand style! Join Pasco County Parks, Recreation, and Natural Resources as we open our state-of-the-art Wesley Chapel District Park Recreation Complex with an invite-only ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, September 30, 2021, followed by a grand opening celebration Saturday, October 2, 2021. Our grand opening event will take place outdoors with small group tours of the indoor facility to allow for physical distancing.
The $4.8 million recreation facility, funded with park impact fees, adds a sports gymnasium and activity rooms to the 144-acre park, making it the largest combination indoor/outdoor county park facility in Pasco County.
WHAT: Invite-Only Ribbon Cutting
WHEN: Thursday, September 30, 2021 10:00 a.m.
WHAT: Outdoor Grand Opening
WHEN: Saturday, October 2, 2021 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Both events will be held at Wesley Chapel District Park, 7727 Boyette Road, Wesley Chapel. Saturday’s family-friendly grand opening celebration includes:
