Gus Bilirakis, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida’s 12th district, shared several updates on pressing issues via social media. His recent tweets address concerns ranging from public health crises to economic challenges and disaster relief efforts.

On November 25, 2024, Bilirakis emphasized the growing concern surrounding Alzheimer’s disease. He stated that "Alzheimer’s disease is a growing public health crisis. Without an effective treatment or cure, the impact will continue to rise. A public health approach is necessary to lessen the burden and enhance the quality of life for those living with cognitive impairment & their families."

The following day, November 26, 2024, Bilirakis addressed economic issues in his post: "Inflated prices are hurting everyone. I look forward to addressing this problem by restoring an America First agenda!"

Later that day, he informed Floridians about an extension for FEMA assistance applications due to Hurricanes Milton and Helene: "The deadline for Floridians to apply for FEMA assistance after Hurricanes Milton and Helene has been extended to Jan. 7, 2025."
