Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller issued the following announcement on October 16.

It my not be the home stretch, exactly, but with only one shopping weekend remaining before the end of this year's campaign, we can almost see the finish line for Two Good Soles 2021.

This unique collaborative effort among Pasco County government divisions and the several constitutional offices has one week to run – seven precious days to meet the goal of putting new footwear on a record number of local students’ feet.

The collection of new shoes and socks for Pasco youngsters ends Oct. 22. Boxes for the purpose are set out at a variety of Pasco government locations, including all six outposts of the Office of Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller: East Pasco Government Center, Robert Sumner Judicial Center, East Pasco Records Retention Facility on McDonald Street, West Pasco Judicial Center, West Pasco Government Center, and the Jack Albert Records Retention Facility.

Shoes and socks will be donated to Pasco County Schools at the end of October. Under guidance from the Pasco School Board, schools are drafting lists of eligible students.

Shoe sizes most in demand: All adult sizes; children's sizes 9 and up.

School administrators recommend shoes, sneakers, and socks in neutral colors. Also, no flip-flops, clogs, no-back or open-toed shoes.
