Our medical volunteers work directly with our veterinary team and shelter pets. Clinic care aides do everything from cleaning cages to helping medicate and vaccinate animals. Surgery recovery monitors watch over animals waking up from surgery and make sure they’re recovering normally.
Don’t worry if you don’t have medical experience! Our team will train you. You just have to be at least 16 and able to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, stoop, and sit on the floor for extended periods of time. Shifts are weekdays only at our shelter in Land O’ Lakes, and they generally last three to four hours.
