You can drop off new shoe and sock donations in collection boxes at Pasco County Government locations and the Pasco County Clerk & Comptroller, Property Appraiser and Tax Collector offices. “This project started as an initiative for a ‘Day of Caring’ by County employees,” said Support Services Director Paula Baracaldo. “It has now grown to a community effort to provide a better start to the school year for so many children in our community.” Last year’s drive resulted in 3,000 pairs of shoes and 3,947 pairs of socks. Since 2016, the ‘Two Good Soles’ event has collected 12,314 pairs of shoes and 34,457 pairs of socks. Social workers distribute the items to Pasco students.
