Gus Bilirakis, a U.S. Congressman representing Florida's 12th district, has recently shared several updates on his social media platform. These posts reflect his ongoing involvement in public safety discussions, legislative efforts concerning women's sports, and the passage of new bills in Congress.

On February 5, 2025, Bilirakis expressed his honor in hosting Major Shaun Klucznik from the Hernando County Sheriff's Office in Washington D.C. He stated that they discussed "important public safety issues impacting our community" and reaffirmed his commitment to working with local law enforcement officers to ensure community safety. "I was honored to host Major Shaun Klucznik of @HernandoSheriff in DC this week. We discussed important public safety issues impacting our community. I will continue working alongside all of our local law enforcement officers to help keep you safe!"

Later that day, Bilirakis highlighted National Girls and Women in Sports Day by mentioning recent legislative developments. He noted that the House had passed the Protection of Women & Girls in Sports Act but remarked that the Senate had not yet addressed it. He emphasized his dedication to advocating for what he termed a "common sense measure." "Today is National Girls and Women in Sports Day. The House recently passed the Protection of Women&Girls in Sports Act, which ensures women and girls' fair competition in sports yet the Senate has not yet taken up this measure. I will keep pushing for this common sense measure!"

On February 6, 2025, Bilirakis commented on the progress made by Congress early in the year regarding legislation. He observed that even members from across party lines are beginning to support what he describes as a "commonsense agenda," which aligns with an America First mission."A look at the first few bills we’ve passed in 2025 shows that even Democrats are starting to see that our commonsense agenda is good for the country. We welcome them on our mission to restore an America First agenda!"
