On April 9, 2025, Bilirakis expressed gratitude to "the students and parents who participated in my Military Service Academy Night last night." He highlighted the passion and patriotism of the community, emphasizing their eagerness to serve the nation.

The following day on April 10, Bilirakis shifted focus to an important health initiative. In his tweet, he stated "This month, we shine a light on the millions of people living with Parkinson's disease, their families, and caregivers." The post underlined the necessity of raising awareness, spreading hope, and deepening understanding of this neurological condition.

Gus Bilirakis has been part of the U.S. Congress since 2007, after taking over from Michael Bilirakis. Prior to his congressional role, Bilirakis served in the Florida House of Representatives from 1998 to 2006. The congressman, a native of Gainesville, Florida, and an alumnus of the University of Florida and Stetson University, continues to reside in Palm Harbor, Florida.
